Don Backy - real name Aldo Caponi - borns on 1939, in a little town in Tuscany, between Florence and Pisa.As many other teenager that loves rock'n roll, starts to play guitar, and he becomes 'the guitar' of the rock group of his town, at same time, he starts to write songs, but it's only on 1960 he pubblish his first 45s.
Aldo Caponi while still trying to make himself known in the field of Italian music, he went to Turin, to bring his songs to various producers.
In Turin met Adriano Celentano, who, after having heard many times a song by Caponi, and only after much insistence of the writing for his new record ' Clan Celentano', which needs new talent to emerge.

In 1962, Don Backy participate in the 'Cantagiro' produced by 'Clan Celentano'.
